1. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Metlio website or private pilot, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Private pilot only
The current service is an early private pilot provided for evaluation and feedback. Features may change, be incomplete, contain errors, or be discontinued. Use fictional/demo patient information only.
3. Eligibility
The pilot is intended for adults age 18 or older. A parent, legal guardian, or authorized adult caregiver may evaluate workflows relating to dependent care using fictional/demo information. The service is not intended for direct use by children.
4. No medical advice or treatment
Metlio is a tracking, organization, calculation, and reporting tool. It does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, establish medical necessity, generate treatment plans, or replace professional medical judgment. Clinician targets shown in Metlio are entered by users based on guidance received from their care team.
5. Nutrition and barcode data
Nutrition information may come from product labels, user entries, recipes, or third-party databases such as Open Food Facts. Third-party product data may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or mismatched to a package formulation. You are responsible for reviewing source information before relying on it. Metlio does not infer missing condition-specific nutrient values.
6. Emergency situations
Do not use Metlio for emergency communication or emergency medical decision-making. If you believe someone may be experiencing a medical emergency, contact appropriate emergency services and the relevant healthcare team.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with operation, introduce malicious code, scrape or reverse engineer the service except where law permits, impersonate another person, or submit information you do not have the right to provide.
8. Feedback
If you submit feedback, suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or feature requests, you permit Metlio to use them without restriction or payment to improve, develop, market, and operate Metlio. This does not give Metlio ownership of your personal information.
9. Intellectual property
Metlio branding, software, design, original content, and related materials are owned by the operator of Metlio or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party data and software remain subject to their respective licenses and terms.
10. Third-party services
The service may rely on or link to third-party services. Metlio is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, or independent practices of third parties.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the pilot is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. This section does not waive rights that cannot legally be waived.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Metlio and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from pilot use, including reliance on nutrition data, missed entries, device/browser storage loss, or service interruptions. Applicable law may provide rights that override part of this limitation.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
